Accessibility
The Van Hage website has been designed to address the needs of those
with reading difficulties, literacy problems, mild vision difficulties,
and where English is not their first language.
Please click on the 'BrowseAloud' icon below to download and install
this programme on your computer.
Once dowloaded and installed, you can change various settings to
your liking.
Please see below for further information regarding the change of
settings and preferences including system requirements:
System Requirements
Operating Sytems: Windows 95, 98,
98SE, NT,2000 and XP
Browsers: Internet Explorer 4 and upwards, Netscape Navigator
If you do not use a Mouse
This
programme has been designed to be used primarily by Mouse movements.
If you do not use a Mouse, or are unable to use a Mouse, you should
enable MouseKeys. To do this:
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Select Accessibility Options
3. Select the "Mouse" tab
4. Switch on MouseKeys
You will be able to control the Mouse using your Numeric Keypad.
This will allow you to navigate to text on web pages which would
normally be inaccessible using the keyboard.
Change
settings
Change settings like the voice, pitch, reading entire page etc by
double clicking or right clicking once on the taget icon in the
system tray (bottom right corner of your screen).
