Choosing the Perfect Flowers...
The Van Hage Garden Company
believes that your Wedding Day Flowers can be more
than an accessory at your ceremony by incorporating the language of flowers - Many flowers have symbolic meaning and messages can be conveyed through the flowers that you choose
The first flower dictionary, Le Language des Fleurs, was published in 1818 and you may wish to consider the significance and meaning of some flowers to make up your Perfect bouquet, here are some examples: Ivy: for a long lasting marriage - Gyposophilia: for fertility - Heather: for lifelong luck
- Lilac & Red Roses: for love - Lily: for purity Chrysanthemum: for truth - Freesia: for friendship - Fern: for sincerity
Make sure you book a free consultation with our florist well in advance to ensure you get the most of your bouquet and wedding flowers on the day. They will be able to help and advise you on the types and flowers available depending on the time of year you are getting married. Remember to tell Mothers, Grandmothers and relatives the theme you have chosen so that they can select an outfit to compliment the colours!
Whatever you wish for your bouquet and wedding flowers, from a design that is simple and elegant or lively and innovative, your bridal bouquet can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes in fresh, silk or even dried arrangements. It will say something about you - the Bride and is The Perfect Touch for The Big Day!
